This is one of the forerunners to the pedal steel guitar. They sound different in that it is all about the "steel' (slide) work rather than the combination of steel and clever chord changes under it by the use of pedals. If you listen to Steel players in the Western swing side of Country music, you tend to hear these guitars, with their C6 and E9 Tuned 8 String Necks, but of course you can tune them however you like and for whatever music you want to.
This one is in great original condition, with a Tweed case. You'd be wrenching this one out of my cold dead hands if there wasn't so much for me to learn on a normal guitar and so little time to do it! I love the sound of these guys!
