$7,999.00

The Gibson Dove . The slightly younger sister to the famous Hummingbird! The differences, other than the obvious cosmetic ones being, a Maple Body and a long scale (like a Martin). This one has a Flamed Maple Back and Sides, with a Honduras Mahogany Neck, capped with a Bound, Double "Parallelogram" Inlaid, Rosewood Fretboard. Those aforementioned differences make for a very different sounding guitar, with a very nice Gibson "Thump", less mids and perhaps a little more volume. Interestingly, due to the popularity of the Hummingbird, thanks to the "Stones" and others embracing it in a big way, Gibson often took incomplete Doves and turned them into "Birds" to make up numbers when the orders were dictated it, creating a very interesting "Subspecies" of Hummingbird. This one is Factory Original, crackfree, and in fine shape. Sounds and plays just right as well.
