1964 Gretsch 6122 Chet Atkins "Country Gentleman", Walnut. S/No 80705

Gretsch

$6,995.00

SOLD. Hard to think of George Harrison in the early days without one of these guys in his hands. See also George and the lads in the Travelling Wilburys... surely one of Rock's great guitar icons! This is a nice original example of a classic Gretsch model, from an era when they still made great guitars. A Filtertron Pickup in the Bridge position and a HiLotron in the Neck. Ebony Fretboard, with the "Thumbprint" Inlays. Gold Plated Hardware, with Grover Tuners, "Space Control" Roller Bridge and setup to play!  A one owner from new "South Australian" guitar. Made in the U.S.A, by the original Gretsch company in Hoboken New Jersey, prior to the it being sold to the "Baldwin Organ Company". So it is a true Gretsch. This one is a nice original example, that has been looked after, played  of course, but played respectfully. Come on in, bring your thumbpick and see what I mean!
