"The King of the Flattops", claimed the Gibson catalogs over the years since 1938, when this seriously special guitar was released, with Ray Whitley and the other "Cowboy" endorsees only too happy to be associated with it. Then there was one Elvis Aaron Presley, born in Tupelo Mississippi, who made his name in Memphis, Tennessee. That was it, ever since it has been an icon, like the man himself! These days the Gibson Acoustic plant is in Bozeman Montana. Within that facility is the Gibson Custom Shop and this is where Master Luthier Ren Ferguson, designed and oversaw the production of this model. It has a AAA-grade Sitka spruce top, with matching AAA-grade Eastern Curly Maple Back and Sides, hand-scalloped Top bracing, Block Inlaid Ebony Fretboard, Ebony "Moustache" Bridge and Gold Hardware.  Bottom Line? This is one very special guitar here Folks!  .
