1964 Gretsch 6122 "Country Gentleman"
A one owner from new "South Australian" guitar. Made in the U.S.A, by the original Gretsch company in Brooklyn, New York, prior to the it being sold to the "Baldwin Organ Company". So it is a true Gretsch. This one is a nice original example, that has been looked after, played of course, but played respectfully. This one has the "Filtertron" pickup in the Bridge position, with a "Supertron" in the Neck position, as per the 1964 spec, along with the Bigsby Vibrato, and it oozes Gretsch signature tone. An Ebony fretboard with the original Frets, still with plenty of life in them. a guitar favoured by George Harrison, Chet Atkins and his various "devotees", this one can be more than useful in almost any style of music. Come on in, bring your thumbpick and see what I mean!
