1965 Teisco "Beat Bass"

Twangcentral Guitars

Back in the 1960s and early '70s the emerging Japanese guitar makers had access to lots of fine Mahogany for one-piece bodies, dark Brazilian Rosewood for fretboards, a centuries old tradition of fine woodworking and low production numbers. This mid-60s Teisco bass features all of the above, and also plays and sounds great, with a straight neck, excellent tone and volume from the big single coil pickup and pots. The original hardware - including the usually-mislaid bridge cover - is here, and it even has it's original hard case in excellent condition in which to repose its light 7.6 pound (3.44Kg) body. A cool vintage bass indeed.
