The OM body size is a perfect blend of comfort, tone and versatility. Of the new acoustic guitars currently available, we’re big fans of the Guild range and in particular their OM models.
This 240E is a traditional non-cutaway with triple bound spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and features a trademark of Guild’s highly respected vintage models: an arched back to add strength with reduced weight. Indeed, this OM weighs a mere 4.2 lbs, putting it very much in prime vintage acoustic territory.
The ‘E’ in the model designation relates to the on-board electronics, Guild’s AP-1 system, which has the volume and tone controls discretely placed inside the bass side of the soundhole. All up, a fine guitar with Guild hard case!
