From Martin's "Authentic Series", this is a faithful replica of a 1941 D-28, one of the most sought after guitars there is. With the Authentic Series guitars, they take an actual original guitar from a particular era and do their best to make a new version of it! So they do things like use Hide Glue, copy the Bracing, tuck the Bridge plate, all sorts of things they haven't done since their pre war "Golden Era". They even tried to re-invent their now almost impossible to find Brazilian Rosewood, for the back and sides, settling for Madagascan Rosewood, on the basis that it looks and performs very similarly. Certainly more affordable than that an old "Bone" and very nearly as good.
