1936 Gibson "Kalamazoo" KG11

During the Great Depression, history tells you that Gibson (like many others) weren't travelling all that well, people were broke and in soup kitchens and bread lines, not thinking about buying a beautiful new Gibson Guitar I guess. They came up with a plan to produce some "cheaper " guitars under other names and as the Gibson HQ was in "Kalamazoo" Michigan, they used that name and had a small range of nicely made, guitars with good materials at a lower price.
