First year after the end of the Second World War, sees the return of the prewar male workforce, replacing a pretty much all female wartime presence in the Kalamazoo factory. This is the last year you see the Gibson Gold Script Logo on the headstock. Previously that logo was combined with the "Only A Gibson Is Good Enough" Banner, which was basically put on the headstock for the War years. The next generation of the Southern jumbo, got the new Modern Gibson Decal, The Fretboards received Binding and the nut width narrowed to 1&11/16". These 1946 Guitars have a great reputation for sounding great and players love these wider Necks. This one has been played a lot and is till in pretty good shape. Drop in and give it a play!
