1960 Klemt Echolette, Model NG51. #19712

Twangcentral Guitars

First thing. I “think” it is a 1960 model, but am willing to be corrected if you know better. I do know it is pre the printed circuit version for the mid 60’s, meaning of course that this one has the hand wired circuitry, which according to those in the know, is the “classic” version. These are the German answer to, the Italian Binson Echorec and Meazzi’s, the American Echoplex’s, the UK Watkins Copicats. These were the most common ones sold in Australia and “The Atlantics” and various other great and not so great, Aussie surf and instrumental bands back in the day. Hank Marvin was well known to use these as well. Oh yeah, The Beatles too 😎
