Despite the well deserved "bad rap" that CBS earned for their mid to late 70's output, there are some good Guitars and Basses from that era. Some, are actually really good and this 1975 "Strat" is one of them. Usually in this period Fender's Ash guitars are heavy to very heavy, not so in this case, it is a lightweight and therefore resonant, guitar. Usually in this period, the Neck Lacquer is so thick that the Frets feel small, as they are buried in the stuff, not so in this case, the Frets feel great and the lacquer doesn't feel thick. Allied with the fact that it is a great Neck shape, that is neither thick nor thin. This is a really well set up, very playable guitar, that compares with other Classic era Strats! All original, apart from the "Seymour Dinkum" in the bridge pickup position.
