Seems like since forever, guitar players have wanted to marry the Gretsch tone and look with a Telecaster. Well here is an example of Fender picking up on that idea and running with it, as well as nod towards the old Les Paul Junior. A couple of DeArmond style single coil pickups, like the mid 50’s ones used on Gretsches, a Pickguard that helps the look come together, a Cherry Red finished Mahogany body, with a traditional Tele neck. They pretty much nailed it actually. A fun guitar to play, with a pretty unique tone.
