First production of the Fender Stratocaster took place in 1954 and it was an instant hit which went onto become perhaps the greatest "Classic" Guitar of all time and certainly the biggest seller! 50 years later, this Series of 50th Anniversary guitars were produced to mark that important milestone. You don't see them around now and I assume the primary reason is that they are in collections. Specs for this great run of guitars were as follows. Select Alder Body, Gold Hardware (it is a 50th after all), Tweed Case, a cool 50th Anniversary Neckplate and Pickguard. As well as what normally comes with the Deluxe Series Strats. A worthwhile Guitar to consider as an investment over time, but certainly an investment in your playing!
