This is an early Chrome pickguard variant of the other later Ricky Steel we have! Rare to see 2 in a store, but we just love them! The BEST sounding Steel going around, heavy, Solid bakelite construction with a powerful pickup that makes Tube Amps pay attention! Prewar, with what was soon to become a politically incorrect brand name, (WW 2 was around the corner) causing the company owner Adolf Rickenbacher to change the spelling of his surname to the one we all know. This is a first series Bakelite lap steel in it's original case! Ry Cooder, David Lindley and many others will tell y'all about these and the "mojo" in 'em!
